Westtown Aquatic Club

Congrats Ashley Chompre for making her third consecutive Scholastic All American Team. Ashley was 1 of 148 seniors who made the AA team all three years of eligibility. The honor is given to 9-12th grade students who maintain a minimum 3.5 grade point average and have swum an individual 2019 Winter Junior national qualifying time.

Taiylor Tegler was named to the 2020 USA Swimming Eastern Zone Select Camp. Way to go TT! The selection criteria was as follows: 14 athletes of each gender selected based on 2019 Long Course Meters (LCM) IMX point scores according to the following: Seven girls age 12 and seven boys age 13, and seven girls age 13 and seven boys age 14.... The additional 14 boys and 14 girls spots then went to the fastest swimmer in each Zone in each Long Course Meters (LCM) Olympic event. If a swimmer was already selected based on IMX score, the next fastest swimmer is selected in that event.

Congratulations, AJ! Spellman Humanitarian Awards Initiated in 1999, the awards honor the memory of the late Dr. Elwood M. (Ossie) Spellman, who served as a member and president of the West Chester School Board from 1951 to 1969. A highly respected area dentist, Dr. Spellman was also actively involved in the Boy Scouts, Rotary Club, YMCA, and Westminster Presbyterian Church. ... Each year, the West Chester Area School District and the West Chester Area Education Association award ten deserving seniors from each high school with the Spellman Humanitarian Award. We are very proud to present the winners for the 2019-2020 school year. We hope you will take the time to read all the amazing accomplishments these students performed in the Spellman Humanitarian Award program.
