Wheel Dog Industries (WDI) has been verified as a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). This designation allows WDI to compete for federal contracts set aside explicitly for SDVOSB organizations. Visit wheeldogindustries.com to learn more about how WDI can help you help veterans, qualify for federal contracts and streamline your business processes. Contact our Executive Principal, Dennis Miller at [email protected] to set up an initial consultation. #SDVOSB #VA #SBA #servicedisabled #veteranowned #smallbusiness #veteran #business #SAMcertified #federalcontractor

In this time of uncertainty due to COVID-19, supporting local non-profits has never been more important. As you make essential trips to the grocery store, you can purchase a $3.00 reusable GIVE BACK WHERE IT COUNTS Bag at the ACME located at 10th & South in May to send the Military Assistance Project a $1 donation.

Please come out to the Hard Rock Cafe Philadelphia on November 21st at 8am. The Philadelphia Business Journal is recognizing companies named to their Veteran Owned Businesses List. During this event, I will sit on a panel to discuss Veteran-Owned Businesses: Navigating a Path to Profit. I am honored to have been selected to speak to the challenges and successes I’ve encountered running Wheel Dog Industries and the Military Assistance Project. I urge you to attend; acknowledgement of Veteran entrepreneurs, especially by such a well respected publication, is remarkable. To register for the event, go to https://www.bizjournals.com//veteranowned-businesses-navig. Your support, as always, is most welcome. Thank you for all you do to #helpushelpveterans

The Military Assistance Project has thrived for over two years under the leadership of Dr. Cecilia Cardesa. She has been a staunch advocate of holistic care for everyone at MAP and has raised awareness of the need for trauma informed lawyering in the Veteran and military community. Ceci is moving forward to accept a new opportunity and her presence as the Executive Director of MAP will be sorely missed. MAP will continue to serve Veterans across the region and in 26 states a...cross the US, even as we begin seeking new leadership. During the transition, Wheel Dog Industries will assume control of the operational platform of the organization, including assistance in the search for our new leader. Dennis Miller, the Executive Principal of WDI will serve as MAP’s interim Executive Director until such time as a permanent candidate is identified. Visit militaryassistanceproject.org for more information on the legal and financial services we provide to military personnel, Veterans and their spouses. Join us in celebrating the service of Dr. Cardesa and continue to seek us out for your legal needs. We provide pro bono representation to clients dealing with bankruptcy, support in filing back taxes or dealing with IRS debts and assistance / advocacy with VA benefit claims and discharge upgrades. Contact us at [email protected] or call the intake hotline at (267) 449-6067 no matter what your economic status or level of discharge may be. MAP is a key contributor to the economic stability of military associated individuals, and WDI is honored to join the team and contribute to the continued success of the organization. Thank you for your continued support of our missionhelping you help Veterans.

We were not able to coordinate volunteers to help today; the last post went up with too little information and on too short notice. So, we are going to try again. Two weeks from today, WDI and friends will turn out to help Tony work on the shelter. Please come out to join us if you have the availability. Here are the particulars... Where: 445 Sharon Ave, Sharon Hill PA 19079... When: June 22nd at noon Who: anyone with the desire to help clear the building of trash and debris. Skilled tradespeople (plumbers, carpenters, general contractors) are also welcome. Please let me know if you are going to come out so I can get a feel for how to deploy our workforce efficiently that day. Thanks, in advance, for your help!

I am honored to have been selected as the Memorial Day Chapel speaker at Girard College this year. The Scout troop on campus will lay a wreath to commemorate those who lost their lives in service to our country. The graduating seniors will be recognized. The school holds this special chapel every year and I am humbled to be a part of it in 2019. Wheel Dog Industries, along with the Greater Philadelphia Area Veteran Chamber of Commerce has established the PFC Sylvia E. Benton... Memorial Scholarship Fund, in honor of my grandmother who served in World War II as a member of the Women’s Army Corps. We will collect donations throughout the year and match all funds, dollar for dollar. We will present the award to the graduating class of inner city schools that are military and Veteran affiliated. This year, Girard College will be the recipient of the award. Please reach out to me at [email protected] and/or [email protected] to donate to the PFC Benton Scholarship Fund. As the fund grows, so will the potential for success of our urban youth. Thank you in advance for your involvement in this initiative and I look forward to the opportunity to fulfill the legacy of Ms. Sylvia.
