HOLIDAY HOME DECORATING CONTEST WINNERS First of all, we at White Oak Borough want to thank everyone who participated in our first ever Holiday Home Decorating Contest. Everyone had a great time, and the judges had a very hard time selecting winners. Santa Claus delivered plaques along with gift cards from Busy Beaver to the first place winners in each category. The Rainbow Volunteer Fire Company is proud to announce that we have been awarded our Participating Department certification through the Pennsylvania Fire Commi...ssioner’s office. This recognizes that the firefighters have reached a certain level of fire training as a department. Less than 10% of all fire departments in the entire state of Pennsylvania have this certification. We just wanted to let you know that in addition to the fundraising activities we conduct, that your local firefighters are also hard at work training their firefighting skills! Annah Kunes finished 8th place overall in the state at today’s Cross Country Championship. This is the first state medalist at MASD in 31 years. What an incredible accomplishment! Congratulations to Annah, the Kunes family and Coach Bacco!

Primary students at Francis McClure learned all about fire prevention at an outdoor presentation last week. They were really excited to meet the firefighters an...d learn to Stop, Drop, and Roll! White Oak & Rainbow Volunteer Firefighters also provided them with helmets and fire prevention activity books to share at home. Thanks for coming to teach us all about fire prevention and safety!
