An exciting day at WOEMS as we took delivery of Medic 644! It was a long process, but well worth it. Thanks to Speclin Emergency Vehicles for the amazing work throughout and American Emergency Vehicles for the build!

Although we are sad to see her go, we wanted to wish Grace all the best on this exciting new chapter of her life. Grace and her husband are moving to the mid-west to start new careers. We are excited for you both and wish you nothing but the happiest of days to come. Our amazing Grace.

Primary Role: The primary duty of the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Paramedic is to deliver pre-hospital medical and trauma care within the scope of their specific certification level. This obligation includes but is not limited to: Scene survey, Triage and assessment, Extrication, Stabilization, Treatment, Transporting, and Communication. - Completes all required reports in an accurate concise manner, obtaining required signatures and providing the receiving medical ...facility with a copy of the patient care report. - Restocks all supplies used on the call for service and confirm that all equipment used has been retrieved and is returned to its appropriate location. - Sanitizes and disinfects the transport vehicle and equipment when indicated. - Performs daily and weekly vehicle inspections and at the same time becoming knowledgeable about the placement of all equipment. - Maintains thorough familiarity with treatment protocols, response requirements, and quality assurance procedures in the WOEMS system. - Maintains all certifications consistent with PA requirements at the level at which you are certified and within the WOEMS system. - Reports immediately to the supervisor any discrepancies in vehicle or equipment standards that could compromise the unit's ability to complete a call. For Immediate Release: White Oak EMS will be hosting the 2020 Flu Shot Clinic at the White Oak Athletic Association on Tuesday, October 6th, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. This year, we will be able to offer flu shots for ages three and older. If you have medical insurance, please bring your insurance card. If you do not have insurance, you will still be able to receive a free flu shot. Please note, this will be the only clinic we offer this year.

So far this year, an average of one emergency responder per week has been struck and killed while working on our nation's roadways. We'd like to take this time ...to remind everyone...when you see an emergency vehicle pulled over, please slow down and move over if possible. Not only is it the law, it could save a life. See more
