Join us during Computer Science Education Week! Computer science is an exciting and growing field that impacts the world in countless ways. A large part of computer science is computer coding. If you don’t know much about computer coding, you will not want to miss this hour-long special that will encourage children in k...indergarten through fifth grade, and their families to get excited about computer science together! Children and their families will learn about coding and the exciting careers that depend on it; they’ll also be invited to participate in hands-on activities that will help to introduce the basic principles of coding. We still have some wonderful make and take kits from Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services. The kits have a game and a craft for kids and information for adults talking to kids. Monday, June 1st we start our Contact-Less Curbside Pickup Service. Patrons can reserve books, movies, and magazines through their EVOLVE account online by visiting www.wilcoxlibrary.org and clicking on the "Online Catalog" link. For more information on how to sign in you can watch the "Reserving a Book in Your Evolve Account" video on our website, on Facebook or you can contact the library by phone (814) 929-5639. Patrons can also reserve books, movies, and magazines by contacting the library by phone (814) 929-5639. When your items are ready for you to pick up, the library will contact you with the instructions on contact-less curbside pickup. Please allow 24-48 hours for items to be ready for pick up.
