Some official information: I have received an official answer from the PA Department of Agriculture in regards to boarding barns and horse owners. Please tag and share with anyone who needs it. For clarification: Horse owners in Pennsylvania are defined as livestock farmers. If horse owners pay to board at a farm, they are considered tenant farmers, and at this time (3/20/20), tenant farmers are permitted to tend to their livestock on rented land. Please remember that choosing to stay open to boarders (aka livestock OWNERS) only OR closing down the barn completely are both difficult decisions with lots of grey area. We are a private "boutique" facility with all the amenities and have room for 2 "perfect" boarders. Offering full stall board or pasture board with nice run-in sheds. With the current pandemic situation, and mild weather, pasture board is preferred. Our barn is very airy, bright and ventilated when we open up all the windows this time of year! Use of a clean stall when you spend time with your horse. Heated lounge/kitchenette/tack room with restroom. Hot/cold wash stall wit...h heat lamps. Large outdoor sand ring (100' x 200'+). 20 meter round pen. Hay (free choice) and grain 2X per day, tailored to individual needs. Fresh water daily; heated in winter.
