Today we enter into Black History Month And what better way to honor Black history, than to see its legacy embodied by Amanda Gorman's presence. This month, let us remember and never forget, the people that the history books tried to erase or discredit. Let us show gratitude for the sacrifices, blood, sweat and tears, the Black community has purged, all while making our country wealthy; yet robbing ourselves of mental and physical healing from generations of trauma.... They say those who choose to ignore their past are destined to repeat it...so let us wake up into the dawning on a new day. A day where healing begins, and remember our problem serves a purpose...A purpose in gaining clarity, which begets understanding, and thusly, transcends into unity.
