Ok- so the news in Erie County Real Estate is very good! Our sales of pre-owned homes in the Millcreek , Fairview, Harborcreek, Summit and other county areas have been as strong or stronger than last year, due to many positive influences. Erie Insurance's large expansion, planned over the next couple of years and many other companies' economic improvements in our area are supporting the home sales numbers. Our average home price is up across the board and interest rates have... held I at or below 4% all of this year, creating a terrific opportunity for buyers in all price ranges. Properties that are priced correctly are selling quickly while those that are not are lagging behind. The old tactic of pricing a property higher than market value and waiting for people to make an offer is a concept that no longer works in today's marketplace, due to an educated public.
