WQED continues to expand Inquire Within, a program in partnership between two key community institutions WQED and local libraries. Inquire Within aspires to re-imagine media-first partnerships that create impactful educational experiences in learning for children and families. The partnership, made possible with financial support from Gateway Health empowers librarians to create innovative, imaginative programing using researched-based, parent-trusted content from PBS. W...QED and Gateway Health Plan welcome the Chartiers-Houston Community Library as the newest library to the Inquire Within program during their Holidays Around the World event on: Thursday, December 10, 2020, 5:00pm Chartiers-Houston Community Library 730 W. Grant St. Houston, PA 15342 Please note that masks are required as well as other recommended health and safety procedures. For this reason, we ask that you register your child for a time slot. Contact the library for more information and to register. (724) 745-4300 Chartiers-Houston Community Library invites you to an open house event to celebrate Holidays Around the World. Stations will be set up for participants to visit and get Take and Make Kits for each celebration. Holidays highlighted for this event will be Daniel Tiger's Snowflake Day, Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, and Omisoka. As you prepare for your holiday, come find out how others around the world celebrate in December. WQED is working with local and national library partners to create and implement PBS-themed curriculum that leverages public trust with a thirst for innovation in service of 21st Century learners, by developing a community of practice that can experiment, lead and sustain a new approach to educational public media.
