Worthington-West Franklin Community Library 08.07.2021

FREE EYE EXAMS AND FREE GLASSES: On Wednesday, June 16 from 10:15 a.m. - 3 p.m., Vision To Learn will conduct eye exams for students 6 - 18 years old at the library parking lot and measure for new glasses. There are eight remaining time slots for any student wanting a free eye exam and free replacement eye glasses. You must call the library for time slot openings, which presently are from 1:15 p.m. - 3 p.m. at 15 minute intervals, Also, a very short form has to be completed. The form is located on the library's web page (armstronglibraries.org/worthington. Or you can stop in and pick one up. You must then turn in the completed form before Wednesday. Call the library at 724-297-3762 to reserve a space. Any student is qualified, irrespective of location or address or income level.

STUDENT LUNCHES: Free student school breakfasts and lunches begin at the library parking lot this Monday (6/14/21) from 11 a.m. - Noon, Monday through Friday. The parking lot for the library is where the meals will be handed out. We thank the following churches and non-profits for helping with distribution: Center Hill Brethren Church, Evangelical Lutheran Church/Worthington, Worthington Baptist Church, Worthington Presbyterian Church and the Worthington Lions Club. Pull into... the parking area between the two buildings and a volunteer will ask how many lunches you want for the day. A volunteer will hand the lunches to you and you will be on your way. Thanks to the Armstrong School District, the Pittsburgh Food Bank, the W.W.F. Recreation & Parks Authority, the W.W.F. Community Library and area churches/Lions Club for this lunch program and distribution. See more

For anyone from the age of 6 - 18, you can get a free eye exam and free eye glasses. Call the library to reserve a time and then complete a form. Anyone can get these glasses. Call now. FREE STUDENT LUNCHES: Beginning on Monday, June 14, free student breakfasts and lunches will be handed out from 11 a.m. - Noon. Thanks to the Recreation Authority for use of Building C, WWF Community Library and the following churches/non-profit: Worthington Presbyterian Church, Evangelical Lutheran Church/Worthington. Worthington Lions Club, Center Hill Brethren Church and Worthington Baptist Church.

Available at the End-of-the-Hall Library Bookstore.
