"But when God, who set me apart at birth and called me by his grace was pleased... " Galatians 1:15 Paul is not the only one set apart, we are all set apart for God's own purposes; whether we accept that or not is our choice. The age of accountability comes to each of us at different times maybe, but nonetheless it comes to everyone. Accountability to God is what the world now lacks; accountability to God is available through a relationship with his Son, Jesus Christ. We do n...ot have access to a holy God in our sin, sin needs to be removed and Jesus paid the price for it's removal. Believing in His sinless, unselfish life is what declares us pure enough to go to the Father. The price Jesus paid makes us accountable to God and keeps us on the straight and narrow, making God based decisions. Do you have some decision that needs made? Remember your accountability for that decision is to God first, so go to Him first. Have a Jesus-filled day!!! See more

"Then Agrippa said to Paul, ' you have permission to speak for yourself', so Paul motioned with his hand and began his defense." Acts 26:11 Paul was given a huge platform to give his testimony, in other words, tell the story of how Jesus had made himself known to him and ultimately changed his life. He appeared before the king to defend himself because he was in prison for preaching Jesus, risen from the dead. Not all of us will have that type of audience or circumstance in w...hich to share our faith, however, every Christian has their own story to share. The passion out of which Paul spoke was a passion that all Christians need in order to see others come to know Jesus. That passion comes from a deep devotion and thanksgiving for what God has done for us and knowing that he can do the same for others. "...always be prepared to give an answer to everyone for the hope that you have." I Peter 3:16 Have a Jesus-filled day!!! See more

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is; there is freedom." II Corinthians 3:17. For God's chosen people, in the Old Testament times; freedom meant release from the Egyptians, the Babylonians, the Assyrians, etc. That was because according to the Old Covenant, the law of Moses, called The Ten Commandments; they were always messing up. Under the New Covenant, the blood of Jesus, we still "fall short" but God's forgiveness abounds through his Son. Romans... 8:1 says, "therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of Life set me free from the law of sin and death". We are no longer reminded of our sin with the Ten Commandments but reminded of God's forgiveness through his Son Jesus. That forgiveness brings freedom from the condemnation, freedom from continuing the same cycle, and the freedom to be up close and personal with God. Have a Jesus filled day!!! See more

"Look unto me and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God and there is none else" Isaiah 45:22 We come to God generally through some kind of crisis situation. Where blessings tend to turn us away from God because we forget where those blessings come from, tragedies tend to direct our attention towards God. Isaiah 45:22 tells us that when we look to God we ARE saved. We have recognized Him as Lord and Savior. We have recognized him as ALL we need. He alone can t...ake care of the situation that we are in. We realize the therapist can't help us, medication is not what we need, the self-help book was a lie, and all the friends that we have confided in over the years have failed. We then come to the end of ourselves and everything else the world tells us that will work and simply look to God. Then God directs our eyes to the cross where His Son Jesus took the stripes and shed His blood so that we might be saved. Have YOU looked to God? See more

I remember the devotion of your youth, how as a bride you loved me through the desert; through a land not sown." Jeremiah 2:2. This is the Lord speaking to the Israelites reminding them how devoted they once were to God early on in their relationship; He compares it to a husband and wife. After time, relationships are sometimes taken for granted; we don't work at them as diligently as we once did; tension comes as a result. We need to "remember back when" to what drew us to each other in the first place and spend time together. Then we will learn to appreciate each other again and will be giving thanks for just who they are. Has your relationship with the Lord become less devoted? Be prepared for some tension if it hasn't already happened, then treat it as a relationship worth saving because it most certainly is.
