For 45 years, Melissa Haydt dedicated her career to advocating for children. In 2012, Opportunity House was fortunate to gain her expertise and devotion. Thanks to her leadership and vision, the Children’s Alliance Center grew to a nationally accredited recognized facility serving victims of childhood sexual abuse and the only program of its kind in Berks County. For this, you have our deep respect and gratitude. Thank you to everyone in Berks County who supported Melissa an...d our work at the CAC, and to John Adams, who agreed to take over the organization upon Melissa’s retirement. The District Attorney’s office is a perfect fit. Congratulations, Melissa, as you begin this next chapter of life. We wish you health, personal fulfillment, and joy.
