Wyalusing Valley Museum

We finally have everything we need to get our cornice fixed! Erich Barrett is removing the rotten pieces, reproducing and replacing them. It is currently a work in progress. Thanks to the PA Rte. 6 Facade Grant program for helping us get this repair done so that we could preserve most of the original decorative woodwork on the cornice. Someday we will do a full renovation to the rest of the facade, but the to do list for our 100+ year old buildings is pretty long!

I'm working on a new video for our YouTube channel about the canal that went through Wyalusing Township, Tuscarora Township, and Laceyville. Does anyone have access to any photos of the canal from the 1870s/1880s? We only have two that I can find and they are low quality reprints. Particularly interested in anything that shows any of the locks or lockhouses. Thanks!
