Cooper is about to get a little brother, and as long as he stays away from the red frisbee- I think it'll be puppy love! Hard to believe these last couple days are only early June! It feels like the dog days of summer, pun intended. I love working with the warm hazy nights, something magical about that summer sunset! www.xophotography.biz

Week The theme of our posts for now is winter- and what's more winter in Pittsburgh than Pittsburgh Steeler playoff football and some basketball. Both of these things will be occupying my weekend, and to be honest- I couldn't be happier. Looking forward to seeing my favorite baller on the court this weekend with her girls! ... This year I am taking part in an instagram project with other family and children photographers, celebrating the joy and beauty of childhood throughout 2021. If you haven't yet, pop over to instagram and check out my account and these pics of X and be sure to check out the tags to see all of the other photographers in my loop!

As I clean up things from 2020 and look towards 2021- do people really use planners? Am I totally missing the boat here? I have for years used a "mom" calendar, where I write down all of the events and things going on. Until of course 2020. When we cancelled everything, time and time again. Looking forward to 2021- is it worth it? What planners do you love? I want to be that kind of person. I'm just afraid of the commitment . ... Planner people- what do you use? Do you think it helps? How do you manage to do it every single week/day/hour. It's daunting. I need someone to hold my hand through this. **Not my pic- I literally pulled it off of Amazon, but it's a pic of who I want to be going in to 2022.

To all of my clients from this year, check your emails- I just sent a small belated Christmas gift your way. Looking forward to 2021, thinking ahead about styled mini sessions, summer red trucks, mothers day, grandparents mini's, sunflower mini's, what else are you looking for?

Today I had the pleasure of going with my family to the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies to volunteer for the Wreaths Across America event. When I got there most of the wreaths had been placed, which made me happy to know so many others have the same gratitude and appreciation for our veterans as I was raised with. We stopped off to see my favorite veteran buried there, and caught up for a bit. How I wonder what he and Bub would be saying in today's world.... If you've never been, I strongly suggest you make a point to stop at a National Cemetery. It's overwhelming and humbling- so many Americans who have fought for the all of the things we enjoy today. It was perspective I needed today. So to any veteran past or present, Thank you for your service. To the spouses and significant others, thank you for all that you do, too. That road is a difficult one to say the least. May God bless you all this holiday season. #wreathsacrossamerica
