Congratulations to the York Ice Company, our Member of the Month for January! Kyle Joines talks with Jarrod Snyder, Operations Manager at York Ice Company, about how Good Time Ice has been keeping YoCo cool for nearly 150 years. The York Ice Company is one of the oldest, family-owned, and continuously operating ice companies in the United States. Founded in 1872, York Ice was delivered to homes with a fleet of horse drawn buggies. Today, they can produce up to 230 tons of ic...e per day, and deliver high quality, bagged ice to grocery stores, convenience stores, and other outlets in York and areas up to 75 miles away. We are all familiar with the eight pound and 20-pound bags of ice we use at home, but York Ice Company also serves numerous other industries, including restaurants and construction. York Ice also made the ice blocks being carved for FestivICE, which will be held from Wednesday, January 13 through Tuesday, January 19 and is hosted by York Revolution and Downtown York, PA.
