Welcome Jock the Bear II to the campground. It wasn’t the same without him. Thanks to Wolfie, John and Dean for getting him set up.
HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND!
As an unintended consequence of COVID-19, natural places are seeing an increase in littering, including personal protective equipment such as gloves, wipes, and... masks; as well as an increase of larger items being dumped. If you come across an illegal dumpsite, report it! Contact information of those reporting a site will be kept confidential. Dumpsite information will be logged and shared with local enforcement authorities, as well as local affiliates and state agencies and other partners. You can also report graffiti through this form. Today, we celebrate #EarthDay50. The first Earth Day, on April 22, 1970, is credited with launching the modern environmental movement, which led to the passage of many laws in the US, including PA's Environmental Rights Amendment (Article 1, Section 27). http://ow.ly/KfuH50zeKSq
Hi Everyone, Due to the stay-at-home order by the governor, opening day for the campground is now changed to May 1st. I'll keep you updated and call with any questions.... Stay home and stay safe. Love you all!
We’re still seeing a lot of people not practicing social distancing when they are out enjoying our natural places. Please follow these tips when you head outdoors to keep yourself and others healthy. #FlattenTheCurve
Signs of Spring, Life and Hope at the campground.
I’m happy to announce that as per our Governor we are permitted to open. The store will open April 1st with limited access. The campground will open on Friday, April 10th, for seasonal campers and overnight RV campers only. Do not plan to come early. ... Tent camping and cabin rentals will not be available. Campsites will be limited to the family checked into that campsite (no visitors or other campground guests). We will be observing social distancing by staying at least 6 feet apart. For your protection, the bathhouse, pavilion, port-a-johns, laundry room and both playgrounds will be closed. All scheduled campground activities are cancelled for April and you will be notified of future cancellations, if needed. Please consider and decide what is best for the safety and well-being of you and your family whether you should come or not. I am looking forward to seeing everyone and I am happy that even with restrictions we can get in the great outdoors and have some camping fun. Of course, as things are constantly changing, I’ll keep you updated. Stay safe and call with any questions.
We will not be in office tomorrow to take reservations, sorry for the inconveniences .
Merry Christmas! Have a wonderful and blessed day!
Soup for Supper was a yummy success! There are some goood cooks at the campground. We had 15 soups! And then bingo! Unfortunately this was the last event of the season. Thanks for a fun evening !
Check out our new flag and flagpole. Thanks to Leonard and Lisa for their donation and Jim for helping Wolfie get it up. God Bless America!
