On December 20, 2019, President Trump signed into law the SECURE Act (Setting Every Community Up for Retirement Enhancement). Below are some of the key changes. -NO AGE LIMIT on earned income Traditional IRA contributions (previously 70 1/2). -Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) age increase from 70 1/2 to 72.... -IRA penalty-free distribution (for under 59 1/2) with birth of a child or adoption. -401(k) providers may now include annuities that offer lifetime income options. -Small business owners will have an easier time setting up "safe harbor" retirement plans that are less expensive and easier to administer. -Many part-time workers will be eligible to participate in their employer sponsored retirement plan.
