YogaSong

Any of you who have been in a zoom class, training or workshop with me since March have seen this rug as my backdrop. This is a hooked rug made by my grandparents when I was born. It took them three years to complete this rug. I sit before this rug daily in deep silence and quiet.... Breathing, settling, seeking, releasing and letting troubled thoughts land in my body, digesting them in doable portions as I rest my eyes on my grandmother's hooked rug. This rug has been with me throughout my life. I feel the presence of my grandparents holding me and loving me even from beyond the veil. In this stillness, I learned to recognize truth as it arises from within. In the silence, I find peace. I learned to titrate what I bring into my heart and mind. I find that my actions that arise from this space are authentic, and in alignment with my values. May all beings be well and have access to essential resources for thriving. May all beings be free and safe from harm and be able to navigate freely and safely in their bodies as they show up in those bodies. May all beings have peace.
