Earlier this evening, members of the department/ IAFF Local #627 (York Professional Fire Fighters Association) presented a check to the York High Bearcats Football team. All platoons got together and collected donations from members in order to present a generous donation of $1000.00 to the team. Thank you to Coach Stoner for allowing us to present this to him and his coaches and players. #gobearcats

Members of the department assisted York City Police, York County District Attorney’s Office, York College and Probation & Parole in distributing a little token to York City students for their success in academics so far this year. York City Our Stars was a success and we look forward to being involved in more of these events in the future.
Congratulations to FF Malachi Cochran and FF Nathan Raine for completing the annual stair climb yesterday Clipper Magazine Stadium in Lancaster. Both FF’s completed the entire course which was the equivalent of the 110 stories that the FDNY FF’s had to climb on September 11, 2001. Thank you for representing City of York.
Fire at 220 Roosevelt Ave was extinguished at approximately 0038 hrs. Fire was confined to the property of origin. Damage was estimated at $75,000. Cause of fire is undetermined at this time and remains under investigation.
Crews are on the scene of a building fire at 220 Roosevelt Ave. Avoid the area as Roosevelt Ave is closed from Roosevelt to Park St.
Thank you to the White Rose Senior Center for their generous donation. The support that the citizens of the City of York show their fire department is most appreciated by all of us.
September 11, 2001 is a day that we will never forget. The cowardly acts that took place on this date in history took the lives of so many innocent people and destroyed the lives of so many others. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all those directly affected by the horrific events of that day.
Thank you Vince Cerceo State Farm Agent for your generosity today. It was a pleasure to meet you and your staff. Our personnel truly appreciated the wonderful lunch you provided from FFF Catering feat George’s Famous BBQ.
