Due to growing concerns over Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD), the Pennsylvania Game commission is battling to control the spread of CWD into new areas. This means that you should avoid transporting your deer and instead, dispose of the carcass and brain properly. In this video we show you how to properly cape a deer to avoid any misteps and have a perfect hide and antlers for your taxidermist to mount. Good luck to all archery hunters!! It's hard to believe it's that time of year again, but if you all are anything like me it cannot come soon enough. As soon as one season closes we start planning and plotting for the next one with lots of articles to read, trail cameras to monitor, tree stands to move, shed hunting to do, and the list goes on. This has been a different year for all of us and we hope everyone is looking forward to spending some much needed time in the woods w...ith family and friends. Attention Fishermen, We hope all of you and your families are doing well and staying safe during this unprecedented time. I have heard good reports on the quantity and size of fish this year going into our PA streams. This coming weekend 4/11/2020 will be the statewide youth fishing season opener. We wanted to say good luck to all and remind everyone to practice the social distancing guidelines set up and established for us to follow. If you are one of the lucky anglers to l...and a trophy trout, we want to inform you that Young's Taxidermy will be set up for you to drop off your trout with having no physical interaction and/or contact. We will communicate the information needed via phone and have accommodations set up outside our shop for you to drop off your fish. After we are all able to resume our normal lives and work restrictions are lifted we will then set up on an as needed basis any follow up or in person interaction that may be needed.
