SIGNED!! Tomas Romero is officially a Homegrown for @lafc! Tomas is a member of YSC Academy's #classof2019 and is currently pursuing his Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, & International Affairs at @georgetownuniversity. Tomas was a stellar student while at @yscacademy, while was especially impressive given his significant travel with El Salvador’s youth national team and #bsteelfc. Despite only playing for one regular season with @hoyamsoccer, Tomas made quite the impac...t. He was in goal for the Hoyas in the @ncaasoccer National Championship game, where he made the game-winning save in PKs. In the regular season, Tomas recorded seven shutouts, 30 saves, and started in 12 games. He was also named @bigeast Goalkeeper of the Week. Prior to his collegiate career, Tomas was a fixture for @uslchampionship Bethlehem Steel FC (now @philaunionii). He remains the youngest goalkeeper to play, start, and win a #uslchampionship game at just 16 years old, and snagged Team of the Week and Player of the Week honors in early and late July 2019, respectively. Prior to playing with the Steel, Tomas was a mainstay of @phlunion_academy and @real_jfc. We are beyond proud of Tomas and can’t wait to cheer him on from here as he begins his professional career!!
