First of all, thank you to everyone who helped Ethan to raise $1,170 for Tap Cancer Out. The whole tournament raised over $100,000 in this event alone! Amazing!... Congratulations to the kids team at Zero Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Everyone did so well and we are so proud of you all. Thanks to all the coaches for their guidance and preparation leading up to today. We would also like to thank everyone at Carlson Gracie Lakeland for your part in Ethan’s preparation for the tournament. Ethan did well! Ethan won his first match by an advantage and won his second match by points for the gold medal!

Very proud of the boys. First tournament in awhile. They both had big divisions with some pretty strong competition. While they both made the podium (and I’m ha...ppy for them of course), to me the outcome was not important. The fact that they both wanted to compete, and in the process showed grit, composure, resilience, and good sportsmanship is so much of why they do BJJ. The support that they get from their teammates, coaches, and everyone at Zero Brazilian Jiu Jitsu means everything, and we appreciate everything you all do for them. Such a fun day! See more

Total right shoulder replacement June. Total left shoulder replacement August. My wife Amanda is my anchor and my North Star. Always keeping me grounded and always pointing me in the right direction. Without her, my sons Mikey, Lincoln, and all my family, friends and teammates none of this is possible. Techniques sloppy, I’m too slow. Still a ton of recovery ahead, but we’re getting there. It’s not called the Grind because it’s easy. I can never thank you all enough. I’ll see you all out there.

Some clips from my birthday matches yesterday Side control escape via flytrap-to the back, sweep to footlock set up (attempt lol) arm drag from closed guard to... the back and a *lumberjack sweep. One day with more training these moves will look way cleaner and way cooler but honestly I’m just happy I had my first win, didn’t agitate my neck injury and didn’t throw up from nerves lol. Congratulations to everyone from Zero BJJ who competed yesterday, it was really inspirational seeing you all out there giving it your best, it was a long day for a lot of us but you guys all did really great! And thank you Christian for stepping out of your comfort zone to coach me and others, that meant so much! So happy to be here to witness your wins and your growth as a person and as an athlete oss See more

Bringing home silver at Grappling Industries yesterday. Won a match with a bow and arrow submission and lost by points to a very game opponent. I’m still new to... the brown belt scene but I’m not far from where I wanna be. It won’t take long for me to push myself to the top. Thank you to my awesome team for all your support and congratulations to everyone who competed, you guys did great and showed a lot of heart. Thank you Nikki Dietz for always supporting me and inspiring me. I’m so grateful for all you guys, ossss See more
