Children under 18 years of age can stop by the playground for meals Monday thru Friday. Breakfast is given out between 9-10am Lunch is given out between 12-1pm... Or until supplies last.

Just a reminder: While the playground is open for family and individual use, the athletic fields are still closed - athletic teams and organizations are not permitted to hold team activity on our fields. Thank you.

Updated letter from Philadelphia Parks and Recreation outlining the guidelines for summer camps during the summer of Covid-19. Camp will be run on a modified platform this year to maximize the safety of campers and staff. A new agreement form that parents/guardians will have to sign, along with typical registration form, is also required for camper eligibility. Updated camp flier with detailed information and pricing also attached. Registration is on going, at a first come, first serve basis - space in camp this summer will be extremely limited - don't hesitate. As of today, the Department of Parks and Recreation announced it is closing all playgrounds and athletic courts beginning today. The parks are still open with the strong encouragement of social distancing. Despite the closure, food distribution at 50 recreation centers and older adult centers will continue through tomorrow, Friday, March 20. The City will have an update tomorrow on meal service locations for next week. Philadelphia Parks & Recreation parks, fields, and trai...ls remain open, but bathrooms and buildings are closed through at least Friday, March 27. All Philadelphia Parks & Recreation events and programs have been canceled or postponed through at least March 27. Permitted events on Parks & Rec land are canceled or postponed as well. Guidance on April events will be forthcoming. All other Parks & Recreation buildings across the city are closed to the public through at least March 27, 2020. This includes environmental education centers, the Carousel House Recreation Center, ice rinks, the CASE building, and One Parkway Building.
