This year we are doing a weekly Vacation Bible School. The first night was full of fun and laughter. Everyone is welcome at God's Table.
Sunday, June 27, we welcome Drexel University campus pastor, Rev. Brian Musser, as he shares with us in worship. To prepare for worship, read Matthew 19:16-22 and think about the faith questions rolling around in your head when you were a young adult.
What a beautiful day for our 1st of 4 Retiree Brunch picnics. Great food, a game of "3 on a Couch" and of course fellowship was enjoyed.
All are welcome to gather at our monthly Peace & Justice prayer vigil outside in the picnic grove on Sunday, June 27 at 4:00 p.m. to pray for wisdom, peace, and justice.
Bring Dad and a couple of lawn chairs to enjoy outdoor worship this Sunday at 9:00 a.m. This will be the final week of our Beatitudes series.
This Sunday we'll hear from more than twenty Zion people who answered the question "How has the church helped you grow?" Join us!
A new documentary film by Souderton residents David and Kathi Peters, will be shown at the newly opened Broad Theater in Souderton on January 29. The film addresses issues of Christian response to nationalism and includes a few minutes of footage from the June 4, 2020 march against racism and injustice which took place in Souderton in the aftermath of George Floyd's death. This documentary will be a good conversation starter about issues of faith and politics we face as Christians in America today. https://broadtheater.com/movie/postcards-from-babylon
Be sure to join us in-person or via Livestream for the Annual Meeting following worship on January 31.
Grab the family and some popcorn!
This week we consider the story of the paralyzed man who was brought by friends to Jesus for healing. Mark 2: 1-2 and Psalm 103 are our texts. As you think of this story, who do you relate to best? Has the church community ever supported you in the way the man’s friends assisted him? Some have described hope as an anchor in the storm of life. How can we be a supportive community that helps to restore hope and transform lives?
Jobless. Homeless. Sick. Hungry. This unprecedented time has put many families into situations they never imagined possible. The Bean Bag Food Program, contin...ues to deliver weekend meals to 170 children in the Souderton Area School District who are experiencing food scarcity. Many of us who have jobs, homes and plenty of food may not truly need the government issued stimulus checks that will be arriving shortly. Consider donating your stimulus check to help support families in our community who are struggling to make ends meet and put food on the table for their children. One hundred percent of all donations go directly toward food. Donate today. Online at zionmennonite.org. Click on the blue Online Giving button, then select Bean Bag Food Program. Send a check to Zion Mennonite Church - BBFP at 149 E. Cherry Lane, Souderton, PA 18964. Thank you for sharing this request, remembering the words of Jesus: As you have done it to the least of these, you have done it for me.
