I wish to thank all of you who helped celebrate my socially distanced retirement. COVID-19 has changed much of how we interact, but these last few days of practice have been incredibly special, despite the pandemic. So many of you have been more than kind since I announced my retirement. I appreciate the heartfelt notes, emails, and shared memories of visits. The drive-by today was truly unique and something I will never forget. I am not sure I can explain what it meant to ...me, a combination of joy, pride, and an opportunity to say goodbye to each of you. To the Families of Advocare Broomall Pediatrics, As a 26 year old intern, I made the decision to become a pediatrician. Forty years later, I still feel it was a great choice. I have been truly privileged to practice a profession I love. Pediatrics for me has been stimulating, challenging, and frankly often just fun. I have been able to learn something new almost daily, often from the children themselves. I have been supported in my past thirty years by a talented group of pro...fessionals at Advocare Broomall Pediatrics, especially those in our West Goshen office. They have become a second family and friends. My wife, Patricia, has been there for me during every step of my career, and I can’t thank her enough for her patience and help. My own sons daily reminded me of what it means to be a family and a parent. And to each of the families I have cared for, thank you for making me a better doctor and person. It has been a joy and an incredible experience to share in your children’s lives. And I can think of no better compliment than your confidence to entrust your children to my care. This was not an easy decision, but I will retire at the end of this year. I wish each and every family the best and again thank you for being my patients. Warmly, Joseph Becker DO FAAP

To my dear families and patients, It is with very mixed emotions that I announce my retirement from active practice as of July 2, 2020. I have enjoyed 36 wonderful years at Broomall Pediatrics, beginning in an old white house on West Chester Pike. I have been fortunate to care for generations of families. Watching your children grow was incredible, veritable time lapsed photography. Along the way from diapers to driver’s permits we navigated our visits with puppets, books ...and songs. I thank you for your generosity and humor. I was humbled and inspired by your strength and bravery. You have been my heroes over the decades. Our visits and your journeys from infancy to adulthood will be treasured. I appreciate the loyalty you have shown me throughout the years and the trust you placed in me. I will leave Advocare Broomall Pediatrics knowing that you will be in the excellent care of our knowledgeable and compassionate team of doctors, nurses and staff.
