Kun-Yang Lin, Professor of Dance, has received a Project Grant from The Pew Center for Arts & Heritage for his dance company, Kun-Yang Lin/Dancers. Congratulations! "WHERE IS MY B-O-D-Y Accomplished dance artists Gus Solomons jr and Pallabi Chakravorty will collaborate with choreographer Kun-Yang Lin in a discovery process to develop new movement methods for artists who are navigating lives as mature creators with physical limitations. The artists will consider new modes of... creation and documentation and the ways in which their artistic practices can be preserved and communicated to others." https://www.pewcenterarts.org/2020grants

Congratulations to Noriko Manabe (Associate Professor, Music Studies) who has been appointed Treasurer and Board Member of the American Musicological Society, effective November 8. Mosaic 2020: Virtually Unstoppable A Celebration of the Arts FRIDAY, OCTOBER 16 7:30PM This year our annual Mosaic Concert transitions from the stage to the screen. Always an anticipated season highlight, this virtual concert is as much a testament to our students’ artistry as it is to their scholarship, and both will be unmistakable on Mosaic 2020's virtual stage.... A selection of spirited, back-to-back presentations from the Boyer College of Music and Dance and the School of Theater, Film and Media Arts showcases the diverse and virtuosic talents of our students. Many performances will be presented from the campus venues where we would normally enjoy them, while showings from departments like Film and Media Arts are innately suited for virtual presentation. These together offer a lively summary of many months of diligence, collaboration and collective perseverance across the entire Center for the Performing and Cinematic Arts.
