We here at the Brandon J. Boyd Memorial Fund have found ourselves in the midst of a kanandrum. We have been alerted by multiple supporters that they never received their invitations to this years Kentucky Derby Celebration fundraising event. Please note that if you have attended a past event or supported the foundation in other ways you were indeed mailed an invitation. We have gone back and forth on how to reach out to everyone and decided to utilize social media. Calling everyone was the second option, but we know that your line is busy discussing your extended warranty that’s about to run out. So until we find all the missing invitations that didn’t make it to you and were not returned to us please utilize the attached.

Wow, big day today for the Kentucky Derby Celebration. Not 1 or 2, but 3 table reservations arrived. Thank you Ann Haines, PA State Rep. Eric Davanzo and Construction General Laborers Local Union 910. We look forward to celebrating with all of you. We also want to thank Construction, General Laborers and Material Handlers Local Union 1058 for your outstanding donation. We are completely humbled by your generosity. This is one awesome Monday!

Someone is here to see the kids!

We just got the call direct from the North Pole and will be making a special appearance on Sunday. said he will be in the parking lot of of the Church of the Brethren on route 271 on Sunday from 11:30 to 1:00. Both and said we have to do this Covid style so that everyone stays healthy for the Holidays. The instructions are for people to pull in the upper driveway then drive around the back of the church and will be in the parking lot. ... Santa can then talk to you in your vehicles. We have to be safe because no one wants to get themselves or sick for the holidays!

Out of curiosity how many little ones haven’t seen this year due to restrictions & social distancing and would it be helpful if he were somehow able to show up in a parking lot for a drive by wave and a social distancing picture?

A huge shout out to all the members of the Ligonier Valley Class of 2020 that showed up for pictures tonight. Every one of you were extremely appreciative, organized and helped to move things along quickly. In addition to receiving the photos that were taken tonight electronically our Board of Directors have decided to provide everyone who came out tonight with a 5x7 print. When the photos arrive we will make a post with details on how to receive your print. Congratulations ...graduates, you made it through and have much to be proud of! Thank you to Ligonier Volunteer Hose Company #1 for honoring this years graduates!

On Tuesday June 2nd starting at 6:15pm the Brandon J. Boyd Memorial Fund is offering to take cap & gown photos of any interested LVHS senior on the Diamond. No appointment necessary as they will be taken on a first come first, first serve basis. We have some different pose ideas so... For the guys - bring sun glasses and a marker if you want to have some fun. If you have a super hero t-shirt wear it under your dress shirt.... For the ladies- bring eye drops for an emotional photo, glitter for some fun and of course a marker and sunglasses. And most of all bring your smiles because you made it!

This evening were were honored to present the 2020 Brandon J. Boyd Memorial Fund Scholarship to John D. Beard III. He was selected to receive this scholarship in recognition of his outstanding academic achievement throughout his entire high school career. He did this while participating in not only one but two different varsity sports. His work ethic and personal conduct is said to be unrivaled and he has proven to show exceptional leader ship skills. He is known to be dedicated, hardworking, competitive and most of all has a loyalty of placing others first. Congratulations John!

LVHS Class of 2020, we ask that you, your parents and the entire Ligonier Valley School District Community join us on Tuesday, May 5th at 7pm for a Facebook Live presentation. At that time we will be announcing the recipient of this years Brandon J. Boyd Memorial Fund Scholarship.
