A Brighton Township employee has tested positive for COVID-19 and is resting at home. With your and the public’s well-being in mind, the Township is closing its administrative offices, including Water and Sewer, on Thurs. and Fri., Nov. 19-20. DEC. 7 - The annual memorial service for Louis G. Moslener, Jr. will be held at the Beaver Cemetery and Mausoleum at 12:55 p.m. A resident of Monaca, and a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Air Corps, he lost his life during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor and is believed to be the first U.S. soldier killed in action in World War II. Enter the cemetery from Buffalo Street and make the first right to locate the memorial service.

Thank you! We would like to thank the missionaries from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who volunteered with the Township’s seasonal work crew to complete some landscaping projects. Due to COVID-19 the missionaries were unable to serve others in person, so they served through this volunteer effort.

Stormwater Service Fee bills for 2020 mailed at the beginning of February by Berkheimer are now in the penalty period for collection. Delinquent notices will be sent by Berkheimer for unpaid accounts. Billings that are unpaid by Dec. 1 will enter into the delinquent collection program. The unpaid balance will be filed as a lien upon the property and incur additional fees and interest until paid. The Lien Preparation, Filing Fee & Satisfaction Fee total $80.50. Over 150 properties have or are in the process of having liens filed for non-payment of the 2019 fee.
