This isn't our typical post, however it is something special. Tomorrow it has been confirmed that CSX Railroad is running a train through the Philadelphia area,... coming north from Delaware County and running through the city into lower Bucks County. These locomotives 3194, 1776, and 911 are all special locomotives created by CSX to highlight our first responders. For those who are listening on a scanner, the identifier for this train is CSX Q410. It will be in the area beginning at 0830 am in Delaware County and will make its way to Bucks County in Langhorne around 1130 am. The best way to see this train is at Woodbourne or Langhorne Train Stations in Langhorne and Middletown Townships. IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE, FREIGHT TRAINS DO NOT RUN ON A SCHEDULE LIKE SEPTA OR OTHER PASSENGER RAILROADS! These times are estimates as the railroad runs them in block scheduling, a delay of 15 minutes could mean several hours later for northern travel. To hear the exact whereabouts of the train, listen on Broadcastify.com and select Pennsylvania, Bucks County, CSX and NS Rail Bucks County. This will allow you to hear them calling railroad signals from Philadelphia into NJ. When the train enters Bucks County, listen for the following signals to detect its movement. Today we join in the remembrance of Detective Chris Jones on the 12th anniversary of his passing. Det. Jones was on a traffic stop on the northbound side of Route 1 near I-95 on the morning of January 29, 2009 when a tragic accident occurred that resulted in his death. Please keep his family, friends, colleagues and community in your thoughts today, and please take a moment of silence to honor him, his service, sacrifice and legacy.
