ONLY 1 DAY LEFT TO GET YOUR BOXES OR DONATIONS INPLEASE SEND SOME LOVE FROM HOME TO OUR SOLDIERS!!! WE NEED YOUR HELP!! IF YOU CANT GET ITEMS TO FILL A BOX WE COULD USE HELP WITH THE POSTAGE COSTS. WE HAD SO MANY EXTRA DONATIONS TO HELP FILL BOXES BUT NEED MONEY TO SHIP. Checks can be made out to: Parkesburg Lions Club THANK YOU SO SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR GENEROSITY AND COMPASSION FOR OUR SOLDIERS. WITH YOUR HELP THEY WILL HAVE A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS!! A LITTLE LOVE FROM HO...ME!! Please send some holiday cheer to a battalion of PA soldiers that are protecting a highly volatile area overseas. The service members are all men and women FROM PENNSYLVANIA!! Their names cannot be released due to security reasons and they are in a remote area away from any services at all. This information was received from a PA State Command Officer at Indiantown Gap. Last year we were fortunate enough, with your help and generosity, to be able to ship out 93 boxes!! We would like your help to be able to send them at least that amount this year and we are trying to have the boxes to reach them before Christmas. Luckily we obtained the shipping information earlier this year, giving everyone much more time to be able to participate. Our Lions Club is asking for help from our community in adopting one of these soldiers, filling a box, and getting the word out to your family and friends. Let’s show our soldiers some love and support from back home and let them know they are not forgotten. Please tell everyone to include $15.05 for each box for postage. The box needed is a priority mail MEDIUM SIZE FLAT RATE PRIORITY BOX (the square shaped one) from the US post office. You can get the box from the post office, or I can get the box to you or I will be leaving some on my front porch as well. PLEASE don’t seal the boxes because they need to be inspected for customs to ensure they don’t have any restricted items. I have added a flyer with suggested items. Most people last year said they had great luck getting their items at a very good price from Dollar Tree, Dollar General, Family Dollar or Walmart. *** Don’t forget to include a little note to your soldier with your name and address. Several people received thank you notes back last year. Also please make your items generic to any sex please! If we can aim to send out the boxes by 12/11 they will get them for Christmas!! I know that together we can do this!! As Lions our motto is We Serve - but with your help we are able to do so much more. Help us show some love to those that are serving us every single day!!!!
