City Sprouts

A message from Terri <3 Working out of City Sprouts for the last two years has been an amazing experience, I have felt so welcome! Thank you Jen for having such a great warm space where so many families have felt comfortable to be themselves, including mine! I’m looking forward to a new phase of working in an even more intimate space in my home office and hope to meet more of you in the future. I will continue to offer pre-natal and postpartum care the same, for those who a...re birthing at home with me and for those who are birthing at a hospital of their choice. Family Wellness pay what you can will still be on Wednesdays from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, with the difference of going from drop-in to needing appointments for services (my home office cannot hold many people at once) and there will be other hours available for individuals and families to come for health assessments and treatments, including Well Women Care based on sliding scale of $40 to $65. With a bit of a heavy heart, but also much excitement for a new chapter, the parenting portion of City Sprouts will be coming to an end this fall. I am excited to be able to devote all my "work" time to the ever growing community composting component of City Sprouts. Terri (Luna Y Sol Midwifery and Family Wellness) will be setting up her new office in her home, which is so lovely and still in the neighborhood -2316 E Norris Street. Having this woman be so close to my home ...and family so much of the time is what I'm going to miss most about this change. She has opened my eyes to so many different things and I will always be grateful. I'm so glad she will continue to practice her midwifery and well woman services. Please take advantage of her presence in the community because she is a rolling stone and won't be here forever! She has so much knowledge to share. This decision is definitly made easier by the fact that since we opened, almost 2 years ago, so many other resources for families have become available in our neighborhood so I don't feel like I'm leaving an unfilled void. Starting in September, New Mom Group (for mamas with pre-crawing babes) will be held at Minnow Lane on Wednesdays from 1:30-2:30. The monthly expecting mama group will be held the first Wednesday of every month from 7-8 - both groups with a suggested donation of $5. I'm so grateful to Rebecca for agreeing to continue these wonderful groups which was so helpful for me in Willa's early days. All other classes and scheduled groups (Dad Group, Happy Baby Music, Blossoming Bellies Birth Works Class) scheduled at City Sprouts will continue here through September. Thank you to everyone who was part of making City Sprouts such a wonderful success - there are way too many people to list. Raising a child (and running a business!) truley does take a village and I feel so lucky to be part of such a strong one.
