Holy crow people, it's Spring time already!! Thank goodness because this past winter has been a toughy for my family and I. We opened up the house last weekend to find a few issues, but that's nothing new with a seasonal home, right? Either way, they are all fixed, plus some added improvements and we are gearing up for another great season. Lots of family and friend use planned this year, AND we already have several bookings for June, July, September and October even! Amazin...gly somehow, August is almost untouched. And just like that . . . .*poof* . . . . and Summer is coming to an end. As much as I love it, I admit that Fall is my favorite time of year. No, I don't like pumpkin flavored food and drinks. I love the leaves changing color, the cooler temps, pulling out my jeans and Uggs, I love Halloween and I LOVE pumpkin picking at the Whistling Pig Farm in PA. We go every year to pick our pumpkins, go on hay rides and just have fun. Aiden loves it! Lake Carey in the Fall is truly stunn...ing. The leaves on the trees across the way turn so beautifully; trust me, you want to be here in September and October. Not much better than a camp fire, marshmallows, hot chocolate (or something stronger) on a Fall night. Well, it's already August! We are here at the Cottage, what a gorgeous, perfect weekend to work our butts off! We had a huge hemlock taken down bc it was super infested with ants, so Rich has been turning it into more firewood. Gotta finish taking down the stump, all part of my plan to (someday) have a proper driveway all vehicles can drive down. Also put together my new garbage cans. That was a bigger project than I thought, so I really hope they are worth it. Thinking abou...t mounting the tv on the wall in the morning too. I thought I would post the current bookings schedule for the next 3 months, to give you an idea of the availability we still have. It fills up with last minute stuff a lot. We were so lucky to be completely booked solid through June and July with some great guests and several more booked though October. Tomorrow is July 1st and the beginning of the long holiday weekend. Can't believe it, already. Sadly we won't be up at the cove until August because we are happy to report it is completely booked solid the entire month of July! So exciting. She loved Cozy Cove and would have been 70 years old this Monday. She lived every moment to the fullest, until she just couldn't any longer. So, it's not even mid-May and there are so many bookings, I am trying to figure out when I will get to go! Only one weekend left in July and the first two weekends in June.
