Sometimes a little hope is all we need. Heather P. Kahn, Delta Phi Epsilon at the University of Miami, is a DPhiE heath care worker. On our blog she shares how this last year went and her experience with the COVID-19 vaccine. Thank you, Heather! Read her story here: dphie.org/hope-in-2021/
Did you catch the DPhiE that was performing at the Inauguration last night? That's alumna Lorenza Ponce playing the violin with @Bon Jovi. Lorenza is from Delta Phi Epsilon at Syracuse University and is a classically trained ROCK STAR violinist. Fun fact: She performed at the 2016 International Leadership Forum in Philadelphia and brought with her a video message from Bon Jovi.
Today is inauguration day after a presidential election with the most first time voters! One of those first time voters was Natalie Vang Jensen, NYU Delta Phi Epsilon. In a courthouse in New York City on December 13, 2019 Natalie took her citizenship test making the 2020 election the first time she was able to use her voice. Today is Martin Luther King Day, a national day of service. We encourage our membership who are able to serve their community safely, to do so. This year looks different, but there are still ways to give back. Check out this list of safe options from AmeriCorps: https://americorps.gov/newsroom/events/mlk-day
