Meet Kevin Nolan (left) He and his team at Nolan Painting Inc have lead the annual Reindeer Romp 5K, a race in Havertown PA in honor of Brandon Lake- a local boy who passed away from cancer at the age of 14. Over the last 20+ years, the Reindeer Romp 5K has raised nearly $500,000 for your American Cancer Society Philadelphia. This year, despite unprecedented circumstances and against all odds, the team managed to raise over $5000 and Nolan Painting matched it (totaling over ...$10,000!!) Thank you to all who’ve participated, supported, and donated throughout this very difficult year. Consider these facts: * Nearly 60 million people in the U.S. are of Hispanic/Latino heritage, comprising the nation's largest ethnic minority, constituting 18% of the nation's total population. * The growth in the Hispanic/Latino community accounts for 52% of total U.S. population growth since 2008. * Latinos are among the youngest racial/ethnic population groups in the United States with a median age of 30. * 66% of Hispanics/Latinos are U.S. born and 37 million Hispanics/Latinos speak Spanish at home. * Cancer is the leading cause of death in the Hispanic/Latino community in the U.S. Lung cancer was the leading cause of death for Hispanic males in 2018, and breast cancer was the leading cancer cause of death for Hispanic females.
