We are thrilled to announce the promotion of Jeannie Whitfield to Vice President of Business Intelligence & Market Insight, effective September 1, 2020. Jeannie has been with the Parts Life, Inc. family of companies for 6 years, and served on our Leadership Team for 4 of those years. Jeannie’s tremendous contributions building a BI system, and identifying and developing business for our companies, have been a key contributor to our growth. In her expanded role Jeannie will a...lso lead the HUBZone strategy of DeVal Lifecycle Support, our recently certified HUBZone company. She will develop methodologies to qualify potential customers based on interest, affinity and capacity, and generate competitor analysis. Jeannie serves on the Executive Steering Committee of the Small Business #leadershipRoundtable for the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, and is Secretary for the Women In Defense, Liberty Chapter. Jeannie volunteers as a mentor to women in our business and looks forward to expanding this facet of her contributions. I was humbled last evening when I said bye and prayed with Song Wong, retiring after 37 years of working at DeVal Lifecycle Support. He was present in Federal Court, Philadelphia in support of me acquiring the company out of bankruptcy 3 years ago. Song did not want a party or a plaque on the wall to celebrate his dedicated contribution to the US war fighter, taxpayer and this great nation. An awesome human being who fled communism in Cambodia by walking through the jungle f...or 31 days, Song made a life in Philadelphia working as an assembler at Deval. While excelling at his work he educated his children, and gave them an opportunity to be part of the American dream. His daughter works for the USTA and the whole family are big Tennis fans. He is looking forward to attending the Australian Open in Melbourne next year as a way to celebrate retirement. Happy Fourth of July! As we celebrate the 244th birthday of America, we celebrate the foundation built by our forefathers on the principles of independence, equality, and freedom for all.

Today we celebrated the grand opening our new shipping and receiving building! Thankful for the continued opportunity to serve the warfighter with increased efficiency in our building and processes. Shout out to Beast of the Street for the delicious lunch served right in our courtyard!

We love doing cool stuff! Today members of the DeVal team performed a 32,000 lb proof load test. The crane used for this proof load test has the capacity to hold up to 750,000 lbs...aka 5 times the weight of NASA's Space Shuttle! Using a machine with this capacity and capability is pretty awe inspiring, looking forward to performing more large jobs with high load requirements.

This Memorial Day, and everyday, we honor the extraordinary men and women who gave their lives to preserve the saftey and freedom of our country. Thank you for your sacrifice and service.
