It is with immense sadness and severely broken hearts that we announce the passing of our very own "Bug Murray". Bug passed from complications after surgery earlier this week. He was born on the rescue property to a laboratory monkey Sue saved. We celebrated his 18th birthday last July. He lived his whole life at the rescue and was well loved by all that knew him but especially Suzanne Murray. We were so blessed to have this incredible boy in our lives. He will be so deeply missed and we will always remember him and do our best to honor his life. Run free Buggy. Till we see you again...

We are not open to the public at this time due to covid-19 guidelines & limited staff. Please bear with us while we keep the animals safe! **Groupons expiring in October will be honored** Who We AreAbout Us! We are not a Zoo. We are a small non-profit organization, that gives forever homes to exotic animals that have been displaced. All due to old age, lab retiring, zoo surplus, or pet trade. While our habitats are not at all what our animals deserve, each animal has a life ...upgrade by coming here. 1. No more fairs in small cages, no more lab experiments in tiny cages with no toys or enrichment. No more inadequate feeding, lack of attention or poor diet. Our greatest desire is to improve the quality of life for each furry family member and provide a lifetime of care. We provide care through all stages of life. You will see young animals and our senior family members with arthritis, ailments, and would not be considered good exhibits. To us it is part of the cycle of life, at each stage they get the support and care needed. They are not exhibits, they are family. Each are receiving great vet care by multiple vets. Many are on some type of medication. Money that is donated or raised does not go to Safari Rides or air conditioned souvenir shop or dining facility, it goes to the animals well being and care. It may decrease your enjoyment if you do not understand this. Our greatest wish is that one day all exotics would be wild, safe and free and we would no longer be needed! See more
