Beginning Thursday April 1 we will move to our Spring hours of operations which are Thursday through Monday 9-5 (Closed Tuesday and Wednesday). We will also be closed Sunday April 4th.

Join us for a weekend program: Saturday April 10th @ 12pm Elk Country Escape Room Escape rooms are all the rage these days and our staff has designed their own! Think you have what it takes to escape. In this free escape room our elk biologist Molly Werner has gone missing and we need you to help search her office for clues to her whereabouts. The program will run every half hour from 12-2pm and is free of charge. Join us Saturday, April 3rd at 2pm for our Educational program: All About Trout - Welcome to the opening day of trout season. Join our educational department for an informative presentation on the various species of trout found in our mountain streams and lakes. Learn all about the rainbow trout, brown trout, and, of course, our state fish, the brook trout.

We are now operating under our winter hours and January through March we will be open under limited capacity Saturday 9-5 and Sunday 9-5. Monday through Friday Closed. As always, during the winter months weather may quickly change in Elk Country. For the safety of our guests and staff, the Center will close if weather necessitates it.

Today was a fun and unique day for our Educators. We provided a Distance Learning session for Chapel Ridge Personal Care Home in McKean County. This group o...f seniors enjoyed the program along with a question and answer session with Coordinator, Ben. The program was especially meaningful as Ben’s grandmother is a resident and was able to participate. Our winter hours are Saturday and Sunday 9am-5pm. Our 4D theater and exhibits will reopen this weekend at limited capacity. Our theater runs on the hour and half throughout the day and will take you inside Pennsylvania’s elk herd. We continue to follow state health mandates and continue our extensive cleaning and sanitizing regimen. We look forward to seeing you in Elk Country soon.
