Hey all! My name is Jane - I started the Germantown Community fridges back in September. Thank you to everyone who uses it and donates to it! Everyday, each fri...dge gets 2 check ins (AM & PM). I'm asking if y'all would be able to help out with the check ins :) It takes about 10-15 minutes (wiping down, organizing, etc.). More specific directions are e-mailed to you the night before your shift! These are super helpful and part of how the fridge has been able to keep thriving & surviving!! The links to the sign-ups are below based on the location. Thank you all so much for helping the fridge :) 1. Armat St. Fridge: https://www.signupgenius.com//10c0d4ba9a72da0fac25-germant 2. Where we live shapes us. Corps Member Mtipe shares in #DAHWitness what he has learned from living in #OldNorthStLouis #neighborhood: I lived in Webster Groves ...for about two years before moving to Old North St. Louis. I heard so many things about this neighborhood as I was getting myself ready to move in. However, from the time I have lived here, I have learned many positive things about #ONSL, one of them is a sense of community. I have also learned how life can vary significantly from one zip code to another in terms of social services and lifestyle. Want to learn about community and what it means to be a neighbor? Come live deeply in neighborhood in Old North. #Apply today: https://bit.ly/ESCApplication Scenes and public art from around the Old North neighborhood. #StLouis #stlouiscity #stlouisnorthside #neighborhood #serviceyear #heretolisten #seeingChrist #youngadultministry #episcopal Old North Saint Louis Restoration Group Episcopal Service Corps Episcopal Diocese of Missouri

Yes, Roberto is looking for a few people to help plan and choose what we will plant in 2021. St. Luke's has a kitchen garden at Awbury Arboretum. The produce helps us to distribute fresh vegetables! Call the office or leave a message if you want to help

At least once a week, we like to gather and do a spiritual practice as a house, outside of our scheduled formation day on Mondays. This week, we explored To Bl...ess The Space Between Us by John O’Donohue. This book of blessings was gifted to each member of our Corps by our amazing Program Director Adam for Christmas. Tonight, we read three of its beautiful poems and discussed how we connected to them. We ended the night with Compline which is always welcome after a busy week at our service placements. Here is an excerpt from A Blessing for the New Year which we read tonight: When the canvas frays In the curragh of thought And stain of ocean Blackens beneath you, May there come across the waters A path of yellow moonlight To bring you safely home #serviceyear #episcopal #SeattleServiceCorps #EpiscopalServiceCorps #ToBlessTheSpaceBetweenUs
