Mail Management Tip #22 GREETING CARDS: We are often inundated with beautiful, meaningful cards for birthdays and anniversaries. How much more so at holiday times! Display your cards and enjoy them ! But also give yourself a deadline to reread them and discard all but them most special. If you like to keep special cards, give yourself a space limit and a lovely, labelled container to keep those treasures under control. More tips are coming your way tomorrow!
Mail Management Tip #21 INVITATIONS: Most of us benefit from establishing a routine for dealing with invitations that includes such things as: discussing them with relevant family members, 'RSVP-ing,' putting the dates in the relevant calendars, getting babysitters, getting directions, buying new clothes, buying gifts, remembering to go... Happy Holidays! Another tip is coming tomorrow!
Mail Management Tip #20 SHOW TICKETS: If show tickets come in the mail before a special performance, figure out a safe place to keep them where they are hard to lose or forget, (possibly somebody's wallet). Follow up by placing "Post-it" notes in prominent places, such as all possible exits or your bathroom mirror, reminding you where they are. If you have only one exit, consider taping them up right next to the door. Do the same thing every time, so it becomes your routine. More tips coming! Happy Holidays!
Mail Management Tip #19 TRAVEL DOCUMENTS: Assemble a set of files for the papers for upcoming trips in one convenient, obvious location. Either assemble one file for each place you are going or file all tickets together, hotel reservations together, conference or touring materials together, all directions together... Come back for more tomorrow!
Mail Management Tip #18 SOLICITATIONS: To avoid donating more money than you intend, either hold all solicitations until year-end or keep an ongoing log of what you pay to each organization. The more you give, the more solicitations will flood your mail-box, and chaos can easily result! You allowed to call or write to make them stop! Come back tomorrow for another tip...
