Get this question all the time, do I need to ground my generator? Yes always... Just place a ground rod in the ground where you will keep your generator during an outage. Connect a piece of #8 copper to your ground rod. When using your generator connect the piece of #8 to the terminal on the base of your gen set disconnect when done. Just a FYI.. Don't drive the ground rod into any utilities that maybe near your set up!
