Looking for a spa treatment you can do for yourself at home? Try a yogurt mask! The enzymes in yogurt help dissolve dead skin cells and leaves you feeling refreshed and glowing. Use 2 tablespoons of plain, sugar free yogurt (Greek yogurt works well because it is thicker) and 1-2 teaspoons of raw honey for added moisture. Apply yogurt to your face in a single layer and allow it to rest for 20 to 30 minutes. Place slices of cucumber on your eyes to boost the relaxation factor ...and drift off for half an hour. Then, wash off the yogurt and apply your fav moisturizer. Optional additions: Dry Skin? Add 1/2 avocado or 1 teaspoon facial oil. Oily Skin? Add 1/2 teaspoon turmeric and 1 teaspoon green clay Acne prone? Smash 1/2 banana until smooth and add 1 teaspoon turmeric or 1 drop lavender essential oil. Dull Skin? Add 1 tablespoon lemon juice. Aging Skin? Blend in a few blueberries for antioxidants. Redness/Irritation? Add 1 drop lavender essential oil and 1 teaspoon aloe vera gel. DISCLAIMER: do not use if you have a dairy allergy. Yogurt may cause breakouts, so test a small patch of skin before doing the full mask to make sure you don't have a reaction.
