We met with the Allegheny River League to discuss the 2020 baseball season. Ultimately, we are concerned about the safety of our players, coaches and fans. As we take safety into consideration, we have decided to look into combining spring ball with fall ball. We are looking at a July 24th starting date. This date will give the players a modified 16-18 game season with playoffs and a championship game. We are discussing a ton of logistics and considerations to safely mak...e this happen. The ARL is monitoring the CDC, Governor's office input, Parks and Recreation guidelines and school districts. All this, along with parents input, will make the final determination if we have a season. We, like many, are very frustrated with the quarantine but understand the importance of social distancing. We all understand the current situation we are in and are hoping as the risks decline, we can get our children out playing baseball. This is just a tentative plan as we are attempting to move forward. We do have a follow up with the ARL on May 31st. Hopefully at that time we have more answers for everyone. Stay healthy, Eric S. Petrosky FCYBSA President

We wish all moms a Happy Mother's Day. We hope you all have a wonderful day. Our players are lucky to have moms who sacrifice time and energy running to practices, games and field to field. Without you moms, baseball and softball would not be. Thank you moms for all you do, we are forever grateful. FCYBSA

2020 Spring Update - 05/04/2020 We, as an organization, have a few contingency plans for the 2020 spring season. We are looking at a June 15 start date to the 2020 season if Armstrong Co. has been moved to green. We will add safety precautions for players, coaches, and fans. We also have plans for a later start date so our players and families can enjoy the game of baseball. The worst case scenario is a cancellation of the 2020 spring season. We are hopeful that Armstro...ng Co. will adhere to the social distancing and our county opens up sooner rather than later. We have a follow up meeting with the ARL (Allegheny River League) on 5/17 to reassess our current situation. Also, Sunday is Mother's Day. We wish every mom a wonderful day and please share a photo of mom's and their players on the Mother's Day post on our FB page. Stay safe and healthy, Eric S. Petrosky, FCYBSA President.
