PUBLIC NOTICE: I was contacted today by Sullivan's Funeral home regarding a Military style funeral which will take place on Friday March 12, 2021 at St. Ann's Church on Line St. At approximately 10:30 AM, there will be a 21-Gun Salute as a military honor. If you hear a volley of gun shots at this time in that area, it will have to do with the funeral ceremony. Chief Richard Bell

It has come to my attention that the phone system in the police department is not working, and may not have been working for the past day. I apologize to anyone who left us a message and has not received a return call. I am working with Borough Officials and our phone service provider to try and get this problem resolved quickly. If you need to speak with a police officer please contact the Schuylkill County Communications non-emergency number at 570-874-2040 to speak with a dispatcher who will get the on duty officer to call you. If you are in immediate need of an police response, as always, call 911. Chief Richard Bell
