This year, we could all use a little more kindness and so could the animals we love. During #BeKindToAnimalsWeek, you can commit to promoting the humane treatment of animals by: Only visiting certified zoos and aquariums.... Adopting pets from reputable shelters or breeders. Watching movies that commit to animal welfare on set. Take the kindness pledge here: https://tinyurl.com/vxtzwu4y

We are starting to get into the 70s and 80s and the humidity is starting to return as well. We are all itching to get out and enjoy the change. We just wanted to remind you that our pets do not deal with the heat as well as we do. They do not sweat. They love to run. They love to be outside with you. But please be careful. Do not leave your pet in the car. Do not take your pet for a long hike or run. Make sure that your pet builds up to being able to run and adjusts to the heat. If you have any questions or concerns about the heat, please do not hesitate to contact us by phone, email or text. Have a safe and happy spring!!! Fort Washington Veterinary Hospital
