The Philadelphia Fellowship for Black Artists, presented by TD Bank, is designed to fund, foster and elevate the important work of Bl...ack artists residing within Philadelphia. This Fellowship will support 20 artists of any medium with $2,000 in unrestricted fundingand we'll highlight Fellows across our channels while connecting them to a network of local and international artists! Fellows will also receive Financial Planning sessions courtesy of TD Bank, as well as dedicated evaluative sessions with curators from Rush Arts Philadelphia, HAHA Magazine, and Streets Dept to assess individual needs. In collaboration between the @2020photofest and Gravy Studio, we are proud to present this exhibition of 9 artists who share their love of vintage cars through photography with curators and fellow photographers @callmebutterfield @matthurstphotoand @sheldon_omar_abba These artists use their talents to explore the relationship between automobiles, their owners,... and the environments in which they are found in order to elicit a conversation about their place in American society today. We back! Gravy has been on a little hiatus... we have been working on personal projects and also helping organize the 2020 Photo Festival. The festival is postponed until next year but we are hosting some virtual preview events during this month to get you all excited about next year! Sign up to hear Michael Froio Photography talk about his From the Main Line project which we will be showing next year at Gravy at our new space at 2424 Studios. We will show a pre recorded video interview with Mike and then open it up to your questions. Special thanks to Sam Markey for making the video!

As a collective, we are a diverse group of people brought together by our love of photography. Through our exhibitions and events, we have shared experiences and ideas and learned from those around us. The actions in Philadelphia and across the country condemning police brutality and racial inequality have prompted us to reflect on our past, present, and future-- how we must do better to amplify under-represented voices within our photographic community.
