Found as a stray after being shot with a shotgun... Meet Finn. This purebred Norwegian Elkhound was found as a stray in Kentucky with his sister, Pepper, after being shot with a shotgun. Thankfully his sister did not have any injuries. Finn arrived at Greenmore with a fractured leg and will be wearing a splint for some time. We are working to heal his wound and get him the necessary vet care he needs. If the bone does not heal, he may need additional surgery. So far the vet... costs are $1,450, and we can only expect that number to increase. Please consider making a donation to help us pay for Finn's vet bills and provide the best care possible for this handsome boy. Meet Oakley! Oakley is a 4-year-old female Chocolate Lab Mix looking for her forever home! Oakley will require some training to improve her leash walking manners because she is so eager to go go go. Although she is high energy she is anxious to please and secure your attention. She pulls when she is on the leash however she constantly checks back in with you to make sure you are enjoying her walk.... Oakley will be a fast learner but will need an experienced dog owner to bring out all the good things she has to offer with love and attention. I so can’t believe that my beautiful wife is turning 60. When I asked her what she wanted, she said she wanted to spay or neuter 60 dogs to memorialize the event. I chipped in for two ... help me make Julia’s birthday a day to remember!

This year in honor of my 60th Birthday on October 29th I am planning on spaying 60 homeless dogs from the Rural Southern US. Last Friday we were privileged to host our State Representative, Christina Sappey, and to help her see first hand how an animal rescue works!

Congratulations to Red Barron and the whole Peters family! Red is a survivor of a life threatening shoulder wound. After 6 months of daily wound care and 2 surgeries this handsome hound is finally able to start his happy life. A huge thank you to all of his wonderful sponsors, Melissa Wain for fostering with TLC, and Betsy DeMarino DVM for working with Greenmore to help this dog. Happy Tails forever big guy!
