Individuals experiencing homelessness can now apply for a free photo ID at any PennDOT Driver's License Center in the state. Having a photo ID is necessary when applying for benefits and securing housing.

If you are in Chester County DO NOT CALL 211 to schedule a vaccine shot. This was reported in error on NBC Nightly News but DOES NOT APPLY to PA 211 or Chester... County and these calls are putting an unnecessary strain on the call center. You CANNOT schedule a vaccine in Chester County by calling 211. MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT: Rent Relief Program for Chester County Residents Begins The Housing Authority of Chester County (HACC) has been selected By the State of Pennsylvania to administer a rent relief program for residents who have been impacted financially by the economic slowdown related to the coronavirus pandemic. For details on the program, please see the information from the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency website at www.phfa.org ... If you feel that you personally may be qualified for this help or know someone else who may need such assistance, please go to www.phfa.org/pacares/rent.aspx to access the application and additional necessary information. Completed applications with required additional documents can be submitted to HACC beginning July 6th. The Housing Authority increases incentives for landlords.

The Housing Authority is look for some basic necessities for our recently leased up clients! During these crazy times it has become even more difficult for our most vulnerable population. We are in desperate need of some household furniture donations and we are hoping the community can help us! Our clients are in need of the following;... Mattresses and bed-frames from twin to queen and or Air mattresses. Please contact us via messenger if you would be willing to donate.

Right NOW, food continues to be a critical need for many people here in our community. Please help us by donating to ensure that all our neighbors have the foo...d they need to maintain their health during this pandemic. The Kennett Food Cupboard, a program of Kennett Area Community Service (KACS) in partnership with the YMCA of Greater Brandywine, and the Square Roots Collective are requesting donations of shelf-stable food during COVID-19. Your contributions make it possible for KACS to continue to provide much-needed help to the many families that live here during this crisis.
