Rescue 1, Command, and Squad 241 handled this two-vehicle crash this afternoon on the Cando Expressway at Interstate 81. Minor injuries as a result of the crash. Units operated for a short time before being released by PSP.

04/03/21 - MVC W/ TECHNICAL RESCUE The Rescue Company was requested just after 1930 hours to assist Valley Regional Fire on North Hunter Highway near Sleepy Hollow Road for a motor vehicle crash with ejection. Additional information received reported a vehicle off the roadway down a 100 plus foot embankment. First arriving crews confirmed 1 vehicle down a 100 plus foot embankment with two patients ejected. Chief 116 (PECILE) upgraded the box to a technical rescue box which br...ought the Rescue Company with additional manpower and equipment. Crews from both Rescue Companies collaborated to quickly set up a Terradaptor Rescue Tripod and a 3:1 mechanical advantage haul system. One occupant was brought to the top of the embankment and transported to a local medical facility with severe injuries. Tragically as a result of the crash, both occupants succumbed to their injuries. The Officers and Members of Hazle Twp Fire & Rescue Company send condolences to the family and friends of those involved.
