Patience is a virtue that we have all had to practice throughout the pandemic. It appears we are going to need to use it again as we maneuver our way through the second wave of lockdowns and increased infection rates worldwide. Although not easy, it is necessary to show restraint and think through the long- term positive effects your marketing and advertising dollars will have on your business. Removing budget(s) in a knee jerk reaction to the current pandemic or political c...limate could not only set your brand recognition back but could end up costing you money. Our advice: Stay the course and practice patience. https://bit.ly/3liJx8F

The holiday season is quickly approaching. The cheer often begins with a Thanksgiving gathering, Black Friday shopping, and gearing up for Christmas gifts. This year however, households will have to find alternative ways to celebrate. The attitude to this year’s holiday is difficult to predict, but experts say it can go two ways. Some may feel even more enticed to cash out in celebration to escape the pandemic blues, while others will become more price-conscious due to uncer...tainty. Wealthier households are expected to dip into savings accounts for larger gifts and surprises while lower income households may switch to off-brand products. Malls are especially in trouble. Keeping capacities at a minimum will be difficult, affecting the tenants that have already been struggling to pay their bills. Though consumers may make less frequent trips for holiday shopping, they are expected to spend more. With this, retailers must harness the opportunity with add-on purchases. Retailers must also ensure their digital storefronts are shopper friendly, as just under two thirds of consumers are anticipated to do their shopping online. https://bit.ly/2Uaycvt

Like, well, everything in 2020, Black Friday is gearing up to be very different this year. Target, Walmart and Best Buy will all be spreading sales across the month instead of into just one day. Each of the stores have a different approach to try make their shoppers feel safe, deal with inventory issues, and customers who may be less likely to spend in a recession. Analysts from eMarketer predicted that holiday spending this year would total about $1 trillion, with a slight decrease in in-store sales but a 35% jump in online sales. https://bit.ly/38tcDOV

Remember the creepy Burger King "Bloody Mary"-esque ad from last week? Looks like they're done trolling McDonalds (For now, anyway). What do you think about this approach? http://ow.ly/jOvs50CagM0
