So, when I left DVE, I didn't want to get right onto the crowded parkway into town, so I headed the other way and got off at Carnegie. I ended up on Washington ...Avenue (Rt 50) heading toward Heidelberg, and I noticed a sign for PYROHI on Thursdays and Fridays. I know just enough Ukrainian to know that PYROHI means PIEROGI, and I pulled into Holy Trinity Ukrainian Church. What a wonderful scene. I got a lesson in pinching pyrohi and bought a couple of dozen, including some jalapeño pyrohi. Pittsburgh Fusion Cuisine! See more
